Megan Hartery has recently completed her Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship with Superdry through Oxford Professional Education. Megan tells us about all about her experience below.
Why did you decide to sign up to the apprenticeship?
I was working at a leisure centre on a self-employed basis as a swimming teacher. But when COVID-19 and lockdown hit, leisure centres were closed and I had no guaranteed income. I started looking into marketing and came across the Superdry apprenticeship.
How did you find the apprenticeship?
The apprenticeship was really interesting. I felt very supported the whole time and enjoyed the whole process. During the apprenticeship, I had the opportunity to rotate through various marketing teams, including the Email, CRM, Data, PPC/SEO, and Influencer teams. The content of the apprenticeship tied in well with all the channels I worked in, so I was able to apply my academic knowledge to my daily work and vice versa.
Tell us about the company and what your job role involves?
After completing the apprenticeship, I moved into a full-time role at Superdry as a PR & Influencer assistant. I am currently overseeing the gifting programme at Superdry and helping with the Student Ambassador programme.
How did Oxford Professional Education support you in your apprenticeship?
I was supported constantly by my tutor with regular one-to-one meetings, which covered all my college work and deadlines. I was also supported by the apprenticeships team on a regular basis with three monthly progress reviews. They were always available for any questions on either college work or OneFile issues.
Would you recommend this apprenticeship to others?
I would definitely recommend the Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship to others. It was very well run, and everything was completed before deadline with the help of the Oxford Professional Education team.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of starting an apprenticeship?
Do it! It may seem like a long time to commit to something but the experience and knowledge you gain is fantastic. Oxford Professional Education have been fantastic from start to finish, always there to help and make things easy.
