Rosie Goodwin recently completed her Marketing Executive Apprenticeship with E3 Recruitment through Oxford Professional Education, shedding light on her journey. Read on as Rosie shares insights into her apprenticeship and how it positively impacted her role at E3 Recruitment.

What was your background before starting your apprenticeship?

Before I started my apprenticeship I completed a Level 3 apprenticeship in digital marketing, I started in a tech company as a digital marketing apprentice doing B2B. I am now working as  Digital Marketing Executive at E3 Recruitment.

Why did you decide to sign up to the apprenticeship?

I decided to undertake the apprenticeship because I wanted to increase both my theoretical and practical knowledge within marketing, there was so much more I knew I could learn about my role in marketing which in turn would help me increase confidence in the workplace.

How did the apprenticeship support your daily work?

I found the apprenticeship to be very useful in my role, I was able to use theory and frameworks within my work and use what I had learnt throughout the apprenticeship to justify my reasonings for decisions.

The apprenticeship not only gives me confidence in my role but also allows me to think of the wider attributes of marketing that isn’t just content creation. The apprenticeship was able to support me with thinking about OOH advertising, the use of the CRM system in marketing and how to thoroughly map out the customer journey.

Tell us about the company and what your job role involves?

I work at E3 Recruitment, a leading manufacturing and engineering recruitment agency based in West Yorkshire. As Digital Marketing Executive at E3R, I am responsible for creating content, managing the social media accounts, responding to customer queries online, helping at events and inputting data on the CRM system.

How does Oxford Professional Education Group support you in your apprenticeship?

Oxford Professional Education Group have been really supportive throughout my apprenticeship, every question I had was answered quickly. My tutor, Tamzie Hollands, was incredible with her support, always setting up meetings throughout the EPA process to assist me and ensure I was getting on okay.

Would you recommend this apprenticeship to others?

Yes! 100%! I was stuck between university or doing an apprenticeship and I’m so happy I chose to do an apprenticeship. Not only has it given me the qualifications I need, but I have also become way more confident in my role and in the workplace as a result.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of starting an apprenticeship?

Go for it! It is the perfect blend of earning and learning. My apprenticeship has taught me so much, not just theoretically but practically as well.
