Ollie Rosewell is currently completing his Level 4 Associate Project Manager Level 4 Apprenticeship with Mole Energy through Oxford Professional Education. Read on as Ollie shares his experiences with his apprenticeship and the positive impact it has had on his career at Mole Energy.
What was your background before starting your apprenticeship?
I used to work in food retail before working in any office settings. I unfortunately had to take 2 years away from work due to mental health reasons, I then was fortunate to find a project assistant job with a telecoms company.
Why did you decide to sign up to the apprenticeship?
I chose this apprenticeship as I believed it would be a great opportunity to expand my knowledge of project management and to expand on my career goals and possible opportunities.
How are you finding studying this apprenticeship?
I am thoroughly enjoying my apprenticeship as it allows me to gain practical experience in coordinating tasks, managing timelines, and working with diverse teams. Each project presents new challenges, which helps me sharpen my problem solving skills and refine my organisational abilities. I’m excited to see how these experiences and theories will shape my growth as a future project manager.
How does the apprenticeship support your daily work?
With guidance from my experienced mentor, I am able to approach my daily tasks more effectively, learn the best practices and improve my problem solving abilities.
Tell us about the company and what your job role involves?
I work for a Solar PV company directly in our commercial team. My Job entails dealing with different departments sub contractors and other elements to make sure our install runs smoothly and our customers are happy.
