Choosing an apprenticeship over university isn’t always the obvious path but for many, it’s the most rewarding. In this blog, we speak to one of our recent learners, Nell Maze-Brown about her marketing apprenticeship experience with us. From school leaver to confident marketing assistant, Nell shares how hands-on learning, one-to-one support and real projects helped her with a strong start to their career.
What was your background before starting your apprenticeship?
Before I started my apprenticeship I was completing my A-Levels in Psychology, Sociology and Government and Politics.
Why did you decide to sign up to the apprenticeship?
Throughout studying my A-Levels I knew I didn’t want to attend University as I believed it didn’t suit my learning style. After lots of research I came across many apprenticeships and discovered that you can work whilst learning which really stood out to me. As someone who struggles just learning from theory I knew this hands on and practical learning style would be perfect for me.
How did you find the apprenticeship?
I did lots of research to find the perfect apprenticeship, I looked on Indeed, LinkedIn but I came across this Level 3 Marketing Assistant Apprenticeship on the government website.
How did the apprenticeship support your daily work?
The apprenticeship was constantly supporting my daily work, being able to apply the theory that I had learnt to my work made me feel really confident when completing tasks, it has given me a well-rounded knowledge which I will continue to take into every project, campaign, or task I am involved in at work.
