What was your background before starting your apprenticeship?
Prior to starting the apprenticeship, I worked as a customer assistant for Marks and Spencer. During my employment, I also volunteered to manage the social media channels for that particular store, which included posting promotions on the company Facebook and TikTok.
Why did you decide to sign up for the apprenticeship?
After volunteering to manage the social media channels at my previous job, I grew an interest in marketing and wanted to understand more about the various channels and techniques within marketing. Therefore, I pursued an apprenticeship, allowing me to learn all the skills and knowledge needed for my chosen career, whilst being able to apply them practically within my job on a day to day basis.

How does the apprenticeship support your daily work?
The apprenticeship has allowed me to gain knowledge and understanding of various marketing techniques and principles, allowing the campaigns I produce in my day-to-day job to be more successful. How does Oxford Professional Education support you in your apprenticeship?
Oxford Professional Education arranged a meeting with my mentor and me every six weeks. These meetings allowed me to ask questions throughout my journey and gain a better understanding of the systems used. Also, the prompt responses from the team throughout the programme allowed me to reach out at any time throughout the apprenticeship and resolve any queries I had. Additionally, my trainer, Tamzie, was fantastic throughout the course and always explained things thoroughly, allowing me to grasp a full understanding of the requirements and helping me expand my knowledge in great detail.
Would you recommend this apprenticeship to others?
