Oxford Professional Education is thrilled to announce that we have received a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted for our Apprenticeship provision!
The Ofsted inspection evaluated five key areas; the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and apprenticeships, with each aspect contributing to our overall ‘Good’ rating.
Ofsted’s report found that our apprentices are ‘enthusiastic’ about the training they receive and ‘take pride in their work-based activities and the positive impact that such activities have on their organisations.’ The report noted that ‘trainers use a range of high-quality training resources and techniques’ and as a result ‘apprentices are confident in applying their new knowledge and skills at their workplace.’
Ofsted also found that ‘expert and experienced trainers use their extensive knowledge and experience to provide industry context and examples to help apprentices understand and apply their learning.’ Our leaders and managers ‘work closely with regional and national employers to understand the local and national skills shortages and reflect the changing and growing sectors they serve.’
Jane Young, Managing Director of OxPE, said:
“I am incredibly proud that Oxford Professional Education has been recognised as a ‘Good’ training provider. We understand that further education changes lives, so it a joy to hear how our apprentices enjoy learning, feel supported by their trainers, and are empowered through their programmes.
The report is a testimony to the dedication of our staff and trainers, with their hard work and achievements reflected in the ratings and comments. I would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone who was involved in the inspection.”
Paul Jones, Apprenticeships Director said:
“Witnessing the positive impact our programmes have on apprentices, seeing them thrive and feel supported, fills us with pride. The report truly reflects the dedication of our exceptional staff, whose hard work and commitment shine through in the ratings and feedback. My sincere gratitude goes out to everyone involved in making this achievement possible.”
Other highlights of the report included that apprentices value the ‘supportive care and help from staff’, as well as the ‘positive learning environment’ OxPE creates. The report also recognised that trainers provide ‘individualised support and care’, enabling apprentices with additional learning needs ‘to achieve as well as their peers.’
