Starting a career in marketing can feel like a big step, especially if you’re coming from a completely different background. For Gabriella, an apprenticeship provided the structure, support and experience needed to make that transition.
What was your background before starting your apprenticeship?
Before starting my Level 4, I had previously completed a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship with Safran. However prior to that I had never been in a corporate role. I worked in various hospitality roles but felt like I wanted to develop my skills in a more structured and progressive environment.
Why did you decide to sign up for the apprenticeship?
After completing my first apprenticeship I wanted to further my knowledge around Marketing. As I was working in a marketing role, I wanted to understand wider aspects of how marketing is used within my company.
How did the apprenticeship support your daily work?
The training and coursework cover a wide range of marketing concepts and tools, helping me to approach my daily tasks with a broader perspective and greater confidence. For example, learning about data analysis and digital marketing has enabled me to contribute more effectively to ongoing projects and suggest new ideas for our campaigns.

Yes, because you are supported throughout. Even though I did my course remotely, I kept in contact with my class mates and we were always there to help each other out.

My advice would be to just go for it, even if it feels overwhelming at first. However, the course goes by quickly and soon you’ll realise how much progress you’ve made.
